Fourier Analysis of Stabilised Q 1 { Q 1 Mixed FiniteElement

چکیده
We use Fourier analysis to investigate the instability of an equal-order mixed nite element approximation method for elliptic incompressible ow equations. The lack of stability can be attributed to the fact that the associated discrete LBB (Ladyzhenskaya-Babu ska-Brezzi) constant tends to zero as the mesh size is reduced. We develop a stabilisation approach that is appropriate to the periodic setting, and deduce optimal choices of the associated stabilisation parameter.

This study aims to identify the dimensions and components of effective teachers in primary schools in Iran. The approach research due to the application of Q-type is mixed method (qualitative-quantitative). The study population included all members of the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences of the University of Tehran. Of which 20 were selected as a combination of purposeful sampling...
متن کاملSolving Convection-diffusion Equations with Mixed, Neumann and Fourier Boundary Conditions and Measures as Data, by a Duality Method
In this paper, we prove, following [1], existence and uniqueness of the solutions of convection-diffusion equations on an open subset of R , with a measure as data and different boundary conditions: mixed, Neumann or Fourier. The first part is devoted to the proof of regularity results for solutions of convection-diffusion equations with these boundary conditions and data in (W 1,q(Ω))′, when q...
متن کاملFunctional-differential equations for the q-Fourier transform of q-Gaussians
In the paper the question Is the q-Fourier transform of a qGaussian a q ′ -Gaussian (with some q ′ ) up to a constant factor? is studied for the whole range of q ∈ (−∞, 3). This question is connected with applicability of the q-Fourier transform in the study of limit processes in nonextensive statistical mechanics. We prove that the answer is affirmative if and only if q ≥ 1, excluding two part...
متن کاملHypercontractivity and its applications
Hypercontractive inequalities are a useful tool in dealing with extremal questions in the geometry of high-dimensional discrete and continuous spaces. In this survey we trace a few connections between different ways of stating hypercontractivity, and also present some relatively recent applications of these techniques in computer science. 1 Preliminaries and notation Fourier analysis on the hyp...
متن کاملProlate Spheroidal Wave Functions In q-Fourier Analysis
In this paper we introduce a new version of the Prolate spheroidal wave function using standard methods of q-calculus and we formulate some of its properties. As application we give a q-sampling theorem which extrapolates functions defined on qn and 0 < q < 1.
